The Assessor works as a local government official in assigning values to real estate properties for the purpose of assessing property taxes within the town.  New York State law requires the assessor to maintain assessments at a uniform percentage of market value each year.  An oath is signed by the assessor when certifying the tentative assessment roll.  Inventory and value estimates of each parcel is required to be kept up to date.

If there are any changes to assessments, a Change of Assessment Notice will be sent to the property owner after March 1st. 
The Assessor will be available to discuss this change or other assessment questions TBD and TBD from TBD, TBD from TBD and TBD from TBD at the TBD.  
Property owners who still feel their assessments are inequitable must file Grievance Form RP-524 (download below) with the Assessor by Grievance Day, which is set aside by New York State Law as the 4th Tuesday in May.  Grievance day will be (tentative) Tuesday May 26 from 4PM to 8PM at the Rec Center.
